Training Overview

This interactive training will provide SRAE grantees with an orientation to the programmatic requirements, as well as provide relevant updates regarding the research and evaluation efforts.

Training Objectives

By the end of this training, participants will be able to do the following:

  • Identify effective strategies to implement key components of an SRAE program;
  • Utilize key strategies in the curriculum fit and selection process;
  • Implement strategies to improve staff and participant recruitment and retention efforts;
  • Understand how logic models can be a tool to set program benchmarks, plan for data collection, and guide program improvement and evaluation; and
  • Access available evaluation resources and support.


Grantees should plan to arrive on Tuesday, January 22nd, and depart after the conclusion of orientation on Thursday, January 24th or Friday January 25th. The orientation will begin at 8:30 a.m. and end at 4:30 p.m. each day. Grantees should plan to be in attendance for the entirety of the orientation.

Who Should Attend

It is expected that each grantee will send two staff to attend the orientation. This may include sub-awardee staff. Grantees must send one program staff person (program director, program manager, program coordinator, etc.) and one data collection/evaluation staff person.

If you have any questions about specific staff attendance for your grantee agency or desire to bring more than two representatives, please contact your Federal Project Officer.
